GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE
HKU Social Service Fund is run by the Central Commission comprising a team of HKU undergraduate students from different faculties. The Central Commission will regularly report to and seek advices from the Board of Governors comprising HKU alumni. The two aforementioned bodies will together involve in the decision-making process of the Fund. The Fund also recruits experienced individuals to be our honorary consultants.
HONORARY CONSULTANTS
The honorary consultants serves as an advisory body for the Fund.
The list of honorary consultants will be confirmed on December 2017.
BOARD OF GOVERNORS
Members of the Board of Governors include HKU graduated alumni or students who are past members of the Central Commission of the Fund / past executive committees of the HKUSU Social Service Group. It is a permanent body with the following roles and responsibilities:
-to provide direction for the Fund
-to maintain monitoring and control over the operation of the Fund
-to assist the Central Commission in all respects
-fiduciary duty to protect the Fund’s assets
CENTRAL COMMISSION
The Central Commission is elected annually (on February to March every year) and comprises of HKU undergraduates from different faculties. They are the administrators of the Fund and are responsible to build up the Fund's portfolio.
